The DeSoto BMX Track which is situated in Grimes Park is tagged as the number one BMX track in Texas and the first-ever covered facility constructed for racing. Riders come from all over the United States to compete annually at this lighted track. Huge jumps and berms on over a thousand yards of solid dirt make this legit national-quality type of track.


  • Efficient Educational System. DeSoto has a good educational system. The DeSoto Public Library garnered the achievement of excellence in Libraries awards about four (4) years ago from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association. On the other hand, the DeSoto Independent School District has thirteen (13) campuses that cater to almost ten thousand (10,000) students in the communities of Ovilla, Glenn Heights, and DeSoto.
